Repose visits Mi Camera in Milan - a space for photography explored through slow observation, craft, and attentive visual practice.
We visited Micamera during Milano Design Week, in part because it was nearby and in part because bookshops that specialize in photography are increasingly rare. What we found was a room that had been curated with the same care as any good exhibition.
The selection spans from classic photography to contemporary visual narratives. Robert Adams, Daido Moriyama, Henri Cartier-Bresson alongside younger voices and less familiar names. Tim Barber, Mavis CW, Paul Graham. The arrangement isn’t alphabetical or chronological. It follows its own logic.
We left with two books we hadn’t planned to buy. That seems like the right outcome.
